Karen Tay

CEO and Head of Talent & Organizational Consulting

Karen Tay has run executive and leadership operations as well as coaching programs within high growth technology companies, Non-Profits and Governments seeking major transformation. She has served as an external coach to senior executives with a high growth mindset in the United States and Singapore. 

Prior to establishing Threshold Allies LLC, Karen held senior leadership positions across the start-up and government worlds where she was entrusted to solve high-stakes problems and create innovative pathways in ambiguous situations.

Karen has been recognized as an Asia 21 Young Leader and Women's Forum Rising Talent. She is adjunct faculty at the Singularity University Executive Program. She is a sought after speaker and facilitator, and her writing on technology, society and culture has been published internationally. 

Kenneth Tay

Director of AI and Data

Kenneth Tay has a unique mix of quantitative skills, public policy and consulting experience. Before Threshold Allies LLC, Kenneth was an applied researcher with LinkedIn, leading the development and use of technologies spanning causal inference, large-scale constrained optimization, reinforcement learning and contextual bandits in LinkedIn's technology stack.

Kenneth also has experience in various data science and traditional public policy roles in the Singapore Government. As an early member of GovTech's Data Science Division, he spearheaded engagements from end to end with a wide array of government agencies, analyzing their data in support of public policy making.

Kenneth earned his PhD in Statistics from Stanford University and his AB in Mathematics from Princeton University.

Minli Virdone

 Consultant and Coach 

Minli Virdone has built and led happy, humble and high-performing teams across multiple companies and industries. Most recently, she was VP of Business Operations at Twilio and SendGrid; she also served as Chief of Staff at Khan Academy and raised $100M+ to fund free education. Throughout her career, she earned a reputation for nurturing talent and igniting career trajectories. As a mom of two boys and a first-generation immigrant, she's no stranger to the challenges of balancing work and life – it's a journey filled with tough decisions and moments of uncertainty. Today, Minli channels her professional energies into coaching and advising executives, and paying forward the support and guidance she’s received throughout her career.
